Screaming and exams go hand in hand...

I read something on the blogger website today that got me thinking. I quote "The Onion: Mom Finds Out About Blog. Here at Blogger, we have no official stance on what to do when your mom discovers your blog. Maybe we should think about that."

Well, in my case, I wouldn't have to think at all. I already know what I'd do if my mom found out about my blog. I'd delete all traces of it. And if she so happens to have read the whole thing (heaven forbid!) then I'd run for my life. Or at least buy more locks for the doors to my house (for those who don't know, I live on my own). Maybe even buy a few wooden planks and metal bars for my windows. There's so much incriminating evidence here any journalist would have an eye-catching story for the tabloids. I can just imagine...something along the lines of Do Lesbians Cheat on Each Other? Now you can find out! or "Boys Don't Cry-Reality Strikes." or something like that lah.

To all journalists out there reading this..This is NOT a hint.

Next, I will blog about work. To whoever's sick and tired of reading about topics such as: the stresses of a hectic workplace, or life in the rat race, please skit the next few paragraphs. Thank you.

The first thing I have to comment about working life is.....AEEEEEAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! *cough cough*.

Secondly, would be that getting paid is heaven, but earning that pay sure is hell. How does anyone manage to wake up before the chickens, day after day, 5 or 6 days a week, just to go to someplace where you either bore yourself to death, stress yourself until you're bleeding from the ears, or work until you can have a heart attack from just looking at an entirely blameless piece of paper??? I seriously don't get it. I'm dying here. Not so much from the job...but most from having to wake up before 7am every single weekday! (And some weekends too). I've never had a culture shock so bad. Australia was nothing compared to this. Being in the workplace feels so strange that its akin to being in another country, even. Anyone else ever felt that way? Or is it just me being weird again?

Oh, and as an update to my assessment that I mentioned in my last post...I guess I needn't have worried as I ended up doing pretty well, considering that the passing mark was 90%! I've always had this feeling about exams. I always know when to worry and when not to worry. Its very weird. I believe I was the only one who was feeling remotely calm that day. Although it took me several years to finally remember what happened after they announced that the results were ready, I clearly remember thinking that Melissa looked ridiculous that day in her college's Hotel & Management uniform.
